Keyboard-first wallpaper switching
Switch Mac wallpapers without breaking your flow
Wallset brings a floating wallpaper picker to whatever you are doing. Open it with a global shortcut, type to filter, move with the arrow keys, preview, and apply.
Global hotkey
Press ⌥Space by default from anywhere on the Mac, or record your own combination.
Type to filter
Search local filenames immediately when the picker opens.
Arrow-key navigation
Move through the visible results without reaching for the mouse.
Space to preview
Open a full-size preview before making the wallpaper change.
Enter to apply
Commit the selected wallpaper to every display with one key.
⌘R to shuffle
Apply a random image from the filtered local view or current collection.
How it works
Built into a fast Mac workflow
- 1
Press the shortcut
The default ⌥Space combination summons Wallset from any app.
- 2
Filter and navigate
Type part of a filename and use the arrow keys to move through matching wallpapers.
- 3
Preview or apply
Press Space for a full-size look or Enter to change the desktop immediately.
A shortcut you can change
The Settings shortcut recorder accepts a custom key combination. If another app already owns that shortcut, Wallset shows a registration warning instead of failing silently.
Local search stays simple
Local search is a case-insensitive filename match. It is not fuzzy, semantic, AI-powered, or tag-based. Online Browse has provider-specific search and filters as a separate Pro feature.
